5 Fulton Court Remodeling Project

Eric- We wanted to tell you how happy we are with the remodeling of our basement at 5 Fulton Court. The rooms exceeded our expectations both in the design and the expertise of the team we worked with. Joe was a professional from day one exhibiting knowledge, flexibility, and attention to detail. Scott was here daily in the morning and end of day to give us an update. A great communicator! He also is a good worker doing many jobs himself to move the project forward. What a great new employee you have! Laurie was such fun to work with and did an excellent job helping me with the decorating, Of course Tom was here making sure the Michaels Group standards were being met. We all have choices who we do business with and we are so pleased we went with the Michaels team and wanted to make sure you were aware of this. Fortunately, we were blessed with the ability to get it done. But it would not have been done without you. Sure you were the builder, but I thought you genuinely wanted to go about the project in a special way. Dear Mr. Willson: After our preconstruction meeting yesterday with Tom, Jonathan and Patti, my husband and I were impressed with how professional and knowledgeable your staff is. The whole meeting was very relaxed and pleasant and also detailed so that we felt total confidence in the whole process. All our questions were answered and now we look forward to the construction process!! Patti Quade has been especially helpful, pleasant and professional during the whole process. I have spent the most time with her as my husband Lance is still working and very involved with teaching at SUNY. So Patti and I had many meetings discussing options!! She has been always very prompt and thorough in answering my questions, responding in both emails and phone calls. I can't even begin to tally all the hours we met face to face during this whole process since last summer! Most recently she spent two 3-hour sessions writing up my last-minute options on the famous Sales Change Order forms. She is the reason that we felt very prepared for the meeting yesterday. He and his team are extremely knowledgeable, incredibly professional, and very hard working. They can design and build any type of home, including both rustic camps and more traditional houses. John delivered on every promised deadline, came in under budget, and demonstrated the highest level of honesty and integrity in every aspect of the project, including follow-up well beyond contractual obligations. If I were building another house, the Michaels Group is the only organization I would consider and I recommend them without any reservation.

The four painstaking months really paid off. We are enjoying our home more than we could have imagined. The process of building was so exciting. You took us from a sheet of paper to a beautiful home in four months. The most painstaking part was the waiting, but it was fun and memorable to go through each step. We were able to see each process and learn about it it takes to build a home. We have created an album with each step treasured. We have pictures from the SOLD sign to the final product! Now that we are in our home, we love it! It is exciting each day as we look forward to decorating and creating the home of our dreams. Thank you again Patti. John let us help with the selections at his nursery a couple weeks ago, brought lots of shrubs and let me help place them. I am very pleased with the outcome. They are a very courteous, hard working group of men who apparently enjoy their work very much, and they aim to please. All plants were part of the package with the exception of one larger tree that we paid extra for. I thank the Michaels Group for having outstanding sub-contractors working at Sheldon Hills. From our initial introduction to the Sheldon Hills Community through Steve Michaels at the model home ... then working with Tom Tallman, Laurie, and numerous others including you, we could not be happier. To whom it may concern: Building our new home at Sheldon Hills in 2009 was an enjoyable experience starting with the professionalism of many people, especially our sales representative, Rose Quade. We researched all of the Clifton Park/Halfmoon new housing developments and had contact with many other sales representatives. We found that Rose was the most knowledgeable about the general area and the absolute best at knowing what The Michaels Group had to offer at Sheldon Hills. We have built several new homes and feel that we are informed buyers. We found Rose able to answer every question about selecting the right model, upgrades and even fielded basic construction questions. We wanted our new home to include a custom built sunroom that was considerably different then the current model. Rose spent many hours writing up our special sunroom requests and worked closely with the design/estimating department to insure all the details (special windows, etc) were met to our satisfaction. This process required her to sometimes further explain our specific needs to the design department and write up additional explanations, so as to insure our final sunroom was estimated and built exactly to our wishes. Rose’s efforts insured our total satisfaction with our sunroom addition. In today’s difficult real estate market the prospective buyer, more then ever, must rely on the expertise of their sales representative. Our experiences have found that many agents are not well informed, do not spend time building relationships and just go for the quick sale. Rose worked tirelessly at being the best representing both The Michael’s Group and her clients which made the buying experience a true pleasure. The Michaels Group program for building a new home was extraordinary from beginning to end. Once the contract was complete, we worked with Lori Michaels at the design center to select all our personal choices for our new home. Lori is an expert decorator and she helped us make our home even better then we had envisioned. Tom, our project manager for construction, walked us through all the building deadlines keeping us informed and delivering our new home even a few days early. After moving in the few items needing attention were skillfully dealt with by Luke Michaels and his service department.
